Qingxiao Gameplay and Playstyle

Qingxiao is an Aero Sword Main DPS who specializes in Tune Strain and stacking Mindlock for massive personal damage amplification. Her gameplay revolves around alternating Sheathed Stance and Drawn Stance Basic Attacks to build Qin Heart and Sword Cadence, which unlock Heavy Attack - Stringblade and her Ephemeral Transcendence state.

Her core mechanic, Mindlock, stacks up to 15 times whenever teammates inflict Tune Strain - Interfered, amplifying the DMG her key skills deal to that target. Her Inherent Skills Sea of Thought, World of Dust and To Know, To Banish convert defeated Mindlock targets and landed Tune Breaks into even more stacks, making her damage scale hard the more Tune Strain support she gets.

Her Resonance Liberation Billows Beneath Heaven deals a massive Aero DMG nuke and grants Heaven's Clarity, setting up a 100% DMG boost on her next Heavy Attack. Her Outro Lingering Song also hits hard on its own, dealing Aero DMG equal to 800% of her ATK.

Weapons that boost Aero DMG or DEF ignore are especially valuable for maximizing Qingxiao's damage output. Her signature weapon Cloud Jasper is her best-in-slot option, as it stacks Aero DMG Bonus each time she applies Tune Strain - Shifting, eventually extending the buff duration and granting bonus DEF ignore at max stacks. For players without her signature weapon, Red Spring is a strong 5-star alternative that boosts Basic Attack DMG through consistent hits, while Emerald of Genesis provides reliable ATK scaling on Resonance Skill casts. For 4-star options, Feather Edge, Somnoire Anchor, and Endless Collapse are all solid picks that keep her damage competitive without premium weapons.

Qingxiao performs best with teammates who can consistently apply Tune Strain - Shifting and land Tune Breaks, as this directly fuels Mindlock stacking and amplifies her overall damage output. Since her damage is spread fairly evenly across her skills rather than concentrated in her Liberation, she leans more toward Denia as her best Tune Strain support, since Denia's buffs are more universal across her whole kit. Lynae is a strong second option, though her buffs lean more toward amplifying Resonance Liberation DMG, which benefits Qingxiao less given her even damage distribution. Pairing her with a healer or buffer that provides ATK, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or Aero DMG Bonus in the third slot will further maximize her effectiveness as a Main DPS.
