Jingran Resonator Overview

Jingran Gameplay and Playstyle

Jingran is a Fusion Broadblade Main DPS whose kit scales primarily with Max HP instead of ATK, turning Shields into powerful personal damage boosts. His gameplay revolves around switching between Yin Vessel and Yang Font states, with each state unlocking a different Basic Attack chain, Drink Soul and Devil's Bane, which build Qi for his Heavy Attacks.

His core mechanic revolves around Shield conversion. His Inherent Skill Hark the Dust provides a recurring self-Shield based on Max HP, while Trace the Vestige builds Ghost Shroud stacks whenever a teammate gains a Shield, providing additional benefits during his Fixation state. His passives Nether to Light and Yang Changes, Yin Unites further convert Max HP into bonus Healing and ATK, making him one of the few Main DPS Resonators that relies heavily on HP scaling.

His Resonance Liberation Burial of Thousand Souls deals a powerful Fusion Heavy Attack, reducing his HP to 50% if it is above that threshold and granting Wayfarer's Mark stacks that enhance his Heavy Attack - Soul Raid and Stardome Meander attacks. Once he reaches 300 Qi, either Heavy Attack can be unleashed to deal massive Fusion DMG, while also switching his stance and maintaining his Yin-Yang cycle.

Jingran Best Weapons

Jingran is a Fusion Broadblade Main DPS whose damage mainly comes from Heavy Attacks that scale with Max HP and benefit from consistent Shield uptime. When selecting weapons for Jingran in Wuthering Waves, prioritize HP, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG.

Weapons that increase Heavy Attack DMG or provide DEF ignore are particularly effective for improving Jingran's overall damage. His signature weapon Thousandfold Deliverance is his best-in-slot choice, gaining Fusion DMG Bonus whenever he receives a Shield, up to 60%, while also providing additional DEF ignore for his Heavy Attacks through Cradle of Life. For players without his signature weapon, Thunderflare Dominion is a strong 5-star alternative that increases Heavy Attack DMG and provides DEF ignore through Shield stacking. Ages of Harvest and Verdant Summit are also reliable options thanks to their Resonance Skill and Heavy Attack DMG bonuses. Among 4-star weapons, Aureate Zenith and Autumntrace are solid alternatives that can still provide competitive damage without premium weapons.

Jingran Best Echo Set

Lamp of Nether Road is Jingran's best Echo set. Its 2-Piece Bonus provides +10% HP, while the 5-Piece Bonus increases Crit Rate when gaining a Shield, stacking up to 4 times for a maximum of 20%, while also providing an additional 15% Fusion DMG Bonus at max stacks. Since Jingran can consistently generate Shields through his kit, he can reliably activate and maintain these bonuses throughout his rotation.

Crown of Valor is a strong alternative that also benefits from gaining Shields, stacking ATK and Crit DMG up to 5 times. For early-game players who do not have either set, Molten Rift is a practical option that increases Fusion DMG after using Resonance Skill.

Jingran Best Team Comps

Jingran performs best alongside teammates that can consistently provide Shields, as Shield generation directly supports his Fusion DMG bonuses through Hark the Dust and Trace the Vestige. Since his kit scales more heavily with Max HP than ATK, he pairs particularly well with Iuno, whose Inherent Skill Waxing Ascent provides Shields through her actions, making her a reliable source of Shield uptime and an excellent Sub-DPS partner for Jingran. A healer or buffer that provides Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or Fusion DMG Bonus can further improve his performance as a Main DPS.
