The Oceanic Festival brings ice cream, treasure hunting, summer cosmetics, free rewards, and enough seashells to make your inventory look like you robbed the entire coastline. Thankfully, this time you actually have things to do instead of putting your character somewhere and walking away for 15 minutes.

In this Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival guide, we will cover the event schedule, login rewards, Ice Cream Shop mini game, Ocean Chase treasure hunt, Festival Shop, Destiny Fruit mechanics, Beach Bash Visage, and paid packs.

Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival Release Date

The event will take up most of August. After it ends, the next collaboration event is expected on September 7, featuring Vegetable Fairy Part Two.

Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival Event Overview

The Oceanic Festival includes several different activities and reward systems.

Here is the quick version before we get into the details:

The overall structure is fairly straightforward. Play the event activities, collect the relevant currency or tools, and exchange them for rewards.

Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival 7 Day Login Rewards

One of the best additions to the Oceanic Festival is the return of a daily sign in event.

The event features a 7 day login track. You simply log in during the event and claim the rewards.

The currently revealed rewards include:

· Exclusive Title Star Hairpin

· Lucky Ticket

· Solar Halo

· Double Phantom rewards

· Sheep Phantom

· Chicken Phantom

· Affinity Gift

The Solar Halo is also a permanent stat boosting dish, making it one of the more interesting rewards from the login track.

The sign in event is particularly easy to complete because there is no complicated gameplay requirement. Just log in and collect your rewards.

Free stuff for opening the game? We will take it!

Ice Cream Shop Mini Game

The main mini game of the Oceanic Festival is an ice cream shop activity.

Players serve ice cream to customers in Kanstein and complete their orders. Doing so allows you to earn Iridescent Seashells, which can then be spent in the Festival Shop.

The basic progression looks like this:

Complete Ice Cream Orders → Earn Iridescent Seashells → Visit Festival Shop → Exchange for Rewards

The activity also appears to be more interactive than some previous event content. Instead of simply leaving your character somewhere and waiting for progress, you actually have a mini game to play.

The exact details of every mechanic have not been revealed in the provided preview, so it is better not to assume additional mechanics that have not been confirmed.

Festival Shop and Iridescent Seashells

The Ice Cream Shop activity gives players Iridescent Seashells, which serve as the event currency for the Festival Shop.

The system is much more direct than a heavily randomized reward structure.

Instead of repeatedly opening random rewards and hoping the game finally gives you the item you actually wanted, the event lets you collect currency and exchange it for rewards.

The basic system is:

1.Play the Ice Cream Shop mini game.

2.Complete orders.

3.Earn Iridescent Seashells.

4.Spend the currency in the Festival Shop.

The available information suggests that the event shop should be clearable through normal event participation.

That is particularly good news for free to play players.

Ocean Chase Treasure Hunt

The second major activity is Ocean Chase. This is a treasure hunting activity where players complete daily quests to obtain digging tools such as shovels. These tools can then be used to uncover sections of sand and search for treasure.

Ocean Chase is divided into multiple rounds. Each round contains a Grand Prize and various obstacles. Once you discover the required objective, you can advance to the next round.

The preview shows later rounds with different digging requirements and additional obstacles.

The general gameplay loop is therefore:

Complete Daily Quests → Get Digging Tools → Search the Sand → Find the Objective → Advance to the Next Round

The exact complete reward list has not been revealed in the provided material, so the safest approach is to focus on the confirmed structure rather than guessing what every round contains.

Do You Need to Save Destiny Fruits?

This is probably the biggest question surrounding the Oceanic Festival.

Based on the provided information, you do not need to save hundreds of Destiny Fruits specifically for this event.

The event is associated with a recurring mission that can allow players to use Destiny Fruits to obtain additional digging tools. However, the event also provides daily activities that give players opportunities to obtain the resources needed for progression.

This means Destiny Fruits can help you speed up your progress, but they are not presented as a mandatory requirement for participating in or clearing the event.

The China version is also the source of the old discussion about saving huge amounts of Destiny Fruits for this event. The available information suggests that the event shop should be possible to clear through normal free to play participation without dumping your entire Destiny Fruit stash into the event.

So, if you have been hoarding Destiny Fruits because someone told you that the beach demands 200, 300, or 500 of them, you can relax.

Ocean Chase Paid Packs

Players who want to accelerate Ocean Chase progression can also purchase limited time packs.

The preview shows paid supplies that include items such as:

· Temporal Stones

· Beach Shovels

· Mythic Relic Selection Chest

· Other limited time event supplies

The Mythic Relic Selection Chest is especially notable because it allows players to select a Water Mythic Relic.

These packs are mainly designed for players who want additional resources or faster progression. They are not presented as a requirement for completing the event.

If you are free to play, you can focus on the daily event activities. If you already spend on Sword x Staff, the packs provide another way to accelerate progression.

Beach Bash Visage and Summer Cosmetics

The Oceanic Festival also features a summer themed Beach Bash Visage.

The preview shows beach and swimwear themed cosmetics, giving the event a proper summer vacation vibe.

The Visage appears to be part of the paid side of the event. The available preview information also indicates that the weapon cosmetic may need to be purchased separately.

Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival Free Rewards

The Oceanic Festival has quite a few rewards available through normal participation.

Here are the currently revealed free rewards:

· Exclusive headwear

· Title Star

· Lucky Ticket

· Legendary Food

· Solar Halo

· Sheep Phantom

· Chicken Phantom

· Affinity Gifts

· Legendary Affinity Gift

· Phantom Mine Gacha rewards

· Six Bond Trinkets

· Festival Shop rewards

The Solar Halo is especially notable because it provides a permanent stat boost.

The available preview does not show the complete Festival Shop reward list, so additional rewards should not be treated as confirmed unless they are officially revealed.

Is Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival F2P Friendly?

Based on the available event information, the Oceanic Festival looks reasonably friendly to free to play players.

The biggest advantages are the daily login rewards and the ability to obtain event progression resources through regular gameplay.

The basic strategy is simple:

· Log in every day.

· Complete the event missions.

· Play the Ice Cream Shop mini game.

· Collect Iridescent Seashells.

· Spend your event currency in the Festival Shop.

· Complete Ocean Chase activities.

· Use Destiny Fruits only if you want to speed up progression.

The available information also suggests that the event shop should be clearable for free to play players.

Paid players can spend on additional supplies and accelerate their progress, but that does not mean free to play players are locked out of the important event content.

Is the Oceanic Festival Worth Spending On?

For free to play players, there is no obvious requirement to spend money. The paid content mainly provides additional progression resources and cosmetics.

The Mythic Relic Selection Chest may be attractive to players who are missing a specific Water Mythic Relic. However, these are progression advantages rather than something that makes the event impossible without spending.

· If you are free to play, focus on the daily missions and event shop.

· If you are already a spender, the paid packs can help you progress faster.

Your account will survive if you do not buy every shiny thing the beach throws at you.

Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival Tips

Here are the main things to remember during the event:

1.Complete the 7 day login event.

The rewards are free and require minimal effort. Do not accidentally miss them.

2.Play the Ice Cream Shop mini game.

This is one of the main ways to earn Iridescent Seashells for the Festival Shop.

3.Complete Ocean Chase daily missions.

Daily progression is important because it provides the tools needed to dig for treasure.

4.Do not panic about Destiny Fruits.

You do not need to stockpile hundreds of them simply because of old information surrounding the event.

5.Spend your Iridescent Seashells.

Event currency sitting in your inventory is not doing anything useful. Exchange it for rewards.

6.Do not feel pressured by the paid packs.

They can accelerate progression, but they are not presented as mandatory for normal event participation.

7.Remember that some information comes from the China version.

The final global event implementation may contain differences.

Conclusion

The Sword x Staff Oceanic Festival looks like a solid summer event, especially if you prefer activities that actually give you something to do. The Ice Cream Shop provides a simple mini game, Ocean Chase adds the treasure hunting gimmick, and the 7 day login event throws free rewards at you just for showing up. Honestly, if Sword x Staff wants us to become professional ice cream sellers for two weeks, at least pay us in Lucky Tickets.
