Genshin Impact Version 7.0 New Characters

Odette (5★)

Odette is a new 5★ Cryo Sword character debuting in Phase 1. As the prima ballerina of the Korolevskiy troupe, she brings a unique combat style that combines elegant movements with powerful Cryo abilities. She functions as a flexible Main DPS or Sub-DPS, focusing on her Solo Shadow double mechanic to provide continuous Cryo damage while enhancing the newly introduced Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl elemental reactions.

Her Elemental Skill, Adagio: Phantom Night Dance, summons a Solo Shadow that performs graceful dance movements and deals continuous AoE Cryo DMG to nearby enemies. While the Solo Shadow remains active, Odette can use her enhanced skill, Adagio: Dawn's Final Crescendo, allowing her to perform a synchronized duet that deals powerful AoE Cryo damage and triggers strong Stellar reaction effects.

Her Elemental Burst, A Dream of Azure Feathers, unleashes multiple rapid dance attacks that deal AoE Cryo DMG while providing the Dream of the Snow Crane buff. This state greatly increases Stellar Reaction DMG dealt by Odette and her teammates while automatically summoning or refreshing her Solo Shadow.

With her unique dance-double mechanic, flexible DPS and support capabilities, and important role in Snezhnaya’s Stellar reaction system, Odette becomes one of the most distinctive characters introduced in Genshin Impact Version 7.0.

Alyosha (4★)

Alyosha is a new 4★ Electro Polearm character debuting in Phase 1. As a disciplined Snezhnayan tactical fighter, he specializes in providing reliable Electro application while supporting his teammates during combat.

He works as a high-utility Sub-DPS and Off-Field Support, helping teams maintain consistent Electro effects while improving movement and attack speed.

His Elemental Skill, Tactical Sweep: Thunder Blitz, allows Alyosha to perform an armored forward dash that deals AoE Electro DMG and creates a Volt Beacon on the battlefield.

The beacon periodically releases off-field Electro damage and restores energy to active party members whenever it triggers an elemental reaction.

His Elemental Burst, Vanguard Command: Overdrive Zone, creates an energized tactical field around the active character.

Inside this zone, party members receive increased attack speed, reduced stamina consumption, and coordinated Electro follow-up attacks whenever they perform Normal or Charged Attacks.

With his consistent off-field Electro application, team energy regeneration abilities, and combat buffs, Alyosha becomes a valuable support option for many team compositions in Genshin Impact Version 7.0.

New Elemental Reactions

Stellar Glimmer includes the new Stellar Elemental Reactions that become available after the Traveler resonates with the Statue of the Seven in Snezhnaya and obtains the power of Cryo.

1. Stellar-Conduct

First introduced in Version 6.8, this reaction is triggered by combining Cryo and Electro elements. When activated, it creates a Polestar Field that increases Stellar-Conduct and Electro DMG while reducing the enemy’s Physical RES, allowing teams to deal more effective damage during combat.

2. Stellar-Swirl

Triggered by combining Anemo and Cryo, this brand-new reaction creates a Vortex that eventually explodes and deals Cryo DMG.Players can trigger additional Stellar Vortexes before the explosion to increase the Vortex level, further improving its final damage output.

New Main Character Element and Outfit

Version 7.0 officially introduces the Traveler’s final elemental power, unlocking the ability to use Cryo after communing with the Statues of the Seven throughout Snezhnaya.Alongside this highly anticipated elemental kit, the Traveler also receives a brand-new winter outfit designed to match Snezhnaya’s freezing environment and unique visual style.

Unlocking this new form provides players with additional elemental reaction options and more flexible combat strategies built around the region’s special mechanics.

New Mechanics

1. Eye of Graeae

The Eye of Graeae is a brand-new mechanic created to help Travelers survive and explore the extreme frozen environment of Snezhnaya.By storing Kresnik Energy, this device protects players from severe cold conditions while also providing special interactive abilities across the snowy landscapes.

Beyond basic environmental protection, the Eye of Graeae allows players to absorb Prime Ice and transform it into different types of Prime Ice Constructs:

Snowball Launcher: Fires icy projectiles during exploration and combat.

Grappling Gun: Improves mobility and helps players travel across high cliffs and difficult terrain.

Basic Heat Source: Provides instant warmth to counter freezing effects.

Message Markers: Creates visible markers and notes to assist with navigation.

Additionally, players can use the Stellar-Conduct reaction to create Starlight Prisms — shared cold-resistant shelters that provide useful effects for nearby players.

These prisms increase the effective range of the Snowball Launcher and automatically transform regular food items into Delicious Food.

2. Third-Person Shooter Game Mode

Version 7.0 introduces a brand-new action-focused third-person shooter mode, combining firearm gameplay with Genshin Impact’s elemental combat system.Players can use movement mechanics such as taking cover, sliding, and vaulting over obstacles to gain tactical advantages during battles.

To adapt to different combat situations, players can switch between three unique firearms:

Cryo Rifle: Designed for accurate long-range precision attacks.

Electro Rifle: Includes an automatic targeting system for continuous damage output.

Grenade Launcher: Fires powerful explosive projectiles that deal massive AoE elemental damage against groups of enemies.

3. Shadow Realm

The Shadow Realm arrives as a major new gameplay feature in Version 7.0, introducing a mysterious area covered in complete darkness.

This hidden region exists outside the control of the gods, creating a secret space where even the influence of the Heavenly Principles cannot reach.

The activities and operations within this mysterious zone are managed by Druzhna.

To help Travelers adapt to the unique environment, Druzhna will organize a series of regular training exercises.
