AFK Journey Patch 1.7.3 Season Preview

Version 1.7.3 centers on the Timeless Gala celebration, splitting content across two halves of the update. The first half introduces heroes Rolan and Voracia alongside the new Clash of Glory guild mode, Dream Hunt challenge, and Crafter's Venture event. The second half adds a mystery crossover with two heroes arriving from another world, plus additional events still under wraps.

"Every new patch is a fresh reason to gear up your roster," as WISHGM puts it - and AFK Journey's Version 1.7.3 delivers exactly that. The Timeless Gala update introduces two new heroes, a real-time guild war mode, a boss rush challenge, and a season's worth of cosmetics. Here's everything Magisters need to know before the patch drops.

New Characters

Rolan, the First Crown is a Celestial hero and the first king in Esperia's history, now wandering Savannah disguised as a talking fox.

Voracia, the Feastweaver is a Mauler-type chef known for her precision and composure under pressure.

Both heroes unlock after the version update, with a themed event for Rolan following shortly after release.

New Guild Mode: Clash of Glory

Clash of Glory is a real-time guild-versus-guild battle mode built around territory control:

1.Guilds progress through schedule selection, matchmaking, and battle prep

2.Members can form up to five hero teams in advance

3.Battles revolve around capturing statues and defending Crystal resource sites

4.Guild admins declare war, set defenses, and direct the frontline

5.Non-combat members contribute via logistics support and still earn victory rewards

6.Post-battle summaries show territory shifts and full replays

Dream Hunt Challenge

Dream Hunt is a weekly boss rush: five bosses appear each week, tackled in a fixed order with individual time limits. Clear times are added together for a final ranking that feeds into weekly district leaderboards. The boss lineup and buffs rotate weekly, pushing players toward new team comps and speedrun routes.

Festive Presents & Crafter's Venture

Festive Presents rewards consecutive daily logins throughout the version, with bonus rewards unlocking on the Timeless Gala celebration day.

Crafter's Venture is a strategic workshop-building event. Starting from basic buildings, players expand their production chain through a series of choices - buildings that produce, consume, or convert materials. Final scores are based on both total points and best single-session results, unlocking buildings, titles, and other rewards over time.

Primal Lord: Doomword Phantom

The season's final Primal Lord introduces the Inversion mechanic:

1.Damage dealt to Doomword Phantom heals it instead

2.Healing and shields cast by players convert into damage against it

3.Its Power Word: Aggression skill speeds up enemy Energy gain and boosts Inversion's damage conversion, while also applying damage-over-time to all enemies

4.It periodically strikes the weakest units on the field

Team building here has to account for the reversed damage/healing logic, making raw burst and Energy management more important than sustain.

Enhance Force Upgrades

Two veteran heroes get power boosts:

1.Cecia gains extra initial Energy; while Tangled Agony's bind is active, she steals hit enemies' stats every second (up to a cap), sharing the stolen stats with Mr. Carlyle

2.Berial sees Shadow Reflection trigger more often per hero; after his first shadow summon, both Berial and the shadow deal greater Energy loss, and shadows eventually stop losing HP over time

Story & Quality-of-Life Updates

Last Thread, the season's narrative arc, follows an invitation from Evie back into royal court intrigue, alongside new clues tied to a past no one wants revisited. A hidden storyline thread - a chance encounter, a lost diary, a wooden eaglet carving - slowly reveals the first meeting between Orion and Kazim.

The Chitchat system gets an overhaul for smoother Guild coordination: quick preset messages, emojis, and speech bubbles now appear during battles, rallies, and movement, plus bottom-screen bullet comments. Guild management also improves, with smoother member onboarding and easier-to-view Like records.

New Skins & Cosmetics

Additional cosmetic drops include:

1.Fabled Road: Twinstar Groove outfit

2.Season Noble Path: Rainy Vigor outfit

3.New sets: Cerulean Raiment (Velvet Store) and Velvet Spectacle (Cosmetics)

4.Rosy Cosmetics: Oathbound Wings

5.New headgear for Rolan and Voracia, unlocked at required hero affinity levels

Rewards Overview

Version 1.7.3 stacks rewards across nearly every system - Festive Presents logins, Timeless Gala milestones, Dream Hunt rankings, Clash of Glory victories, and Crafter's Venture point totals all contribute. The second half of the version promises further reward reveals tied to the incoming crossover event.
