Delta Force Operations Weapon Tier List: Best Guns for Extraction

In Delta Force Operations, choosing the right weapon can determine whether you successfully extract with valuable loot or lose your entire loadout. This Season 10 weapon tier list ranks the best guns for extraction based on two of the most important factors: actual combat performance and overall build efficiency.

From high-value meta weapons to budget-friendly options, this guide covers which guns provide the best return for your investment — and which weapons may not be worth spending your resources on.

Win the Gunfight, Keep Your Loot

Unlike Warfare mode, Delta Force Operations is a high-risk extraction experience where every decision matters. Each deployment puts your equipment, supplies, and collected loot on the line.

Winning a fight allows you to leave with valuable rewards, but losing means sacrificing your entire setup and everything you carried into the match. Because of this, selecting the right weapon before entering a mission is one of the most important choices you can make.

A poorly optimized weapon can cause you to lose encounters that you could have otherwise won with the right setup.

Season 10 "Meltdown" introduced major changes to the weapon environment, including two new heavy-caliber firearms and a stronger focus on stable mid-range weapons. However, popularity alone does not determine a weapon’s true value.

This tier list evaluates weapons based on what matters most in Operations mode:

1.Actual DPS performance

2.Weapon build cost

3.Ammunition efficiency

4.Combat flexibility

A gun that requires expensive attachments or consumes costly ammunition every match may perform well, but it becomes less attractive in an economy-based extraction mode. In Operations, the best weapon is not always the strongest one — it is the weapon that delivers the highest value for your investment.

Now, let's take a look at the rankings.

How Operations Weapon Ranking Works

Before going through the tier list, it is important to understand how these rankings are determined. Weapon performance in Operations is very different from Warfare mode, and popularity alone does not define a weapon’s effectiveness.

Operations Focuses on Close-to-Mid Range Combat

While Warfare rewards players who specialize in long-range engagements across large maps, Operations creates a completely different combat environment.

Players frequently fight while:

1.Clearing indoor areas

2.Contesting extraction locations

3.Engaging enemies in tight spaces

4.Defending valuable loot

Because of this, most encounters happen at close to medium range. Weapons that perform consistently in these situations have a much higher value than guns designed mainly for long-distance combat.

This becomes even more important on Season 10’s new AZ3 Nuclear Power Plant map. The map features dense urban environments, narrow pathways, and limited extraction locations, making close-range effectiveness one of the most important factors for survival.

Ranked by DPS and Build Cost, Not Popularity

A weapon being commonly used does not automatically make it the best option for Operations.

Unlike standard multiplayer modes, extraction shooters require players to consider the cost of maintaining their loadout. A weapon’s real value comes from the balance between performance and investment.

The main factors considered in this tier list include:

• DPS (Damage Per Second)

Raw damage output determines how quickly you can eliminate opponents. In Operations, winning the first engagement often decides whether you survive or lose your entire kit.

• Build Cost

Some weapons only reach their full potential after investing heavily in attachments. Guns that perform well with affordable setups receive higher rankings.

• Ammo Economy

High-caliber ammunition can provide excellent stopping power, but expensive and limited ammo reduces long-term efficiency.

• Versatility

Weapons that perform reliably across multiple combat situations are generally more valuable than specialized guns that only excel in one scenario.

Taking all of these factors into account, especially the balance between damage output and running cost, here is the complete weapon ranking.

S-Tier — Best Value Weapons for Extraction

These weapons represent the strongest balance between firepower, reliability, and cost efficiency in Operations.

S-Tier guns offer:

1.Excellent DPS performance

2.Strong handling without requiring expensive modifications

3.Reliable performance in real extraction scenarios

4.Sustainable running costs for repeated matches

For players who want to maximize their survival rate while protecting their economy, these weapons provide the best overall value.

CI-19 (Assault Rifle)

The CI-19 is arguably the best overall value assault rifle in Delta Force Operations. It delivers excellent damage output while maintaining low recoil and impressive stability even with a basic setup.

Unlike weapons that require expensive attachments before becoming competitive, the CI-19 performs effectively right from the start. Its affordable running cost, easy handling, and strong performance in close-to-mid range encounters make it one of the most reliable choices for extraction gameplay.

For players looking for a weapon that balances damage, control, and economy, the CI-19 represents the ideal standard for an Operations loadout.

SMG-45 (SMG)

The SMG-45 offers one of the highest close-range DPS values compared with its overall running cost.

Operations frequently forces players into tight environments, including indoor fights, extraction point battles, and aggressive building pushes. In these situations, the SMG-45 excels by delivering extremely fast eliminations while remaining affordable to maintain.

Its low-cost build requirements and inexpensive ammunition make it especially effective for players who want a powerful weapon without risking too much of their economy.

When a fight happens inside a narrow hallway or at point-blank distance, the SMG-45 remains one of the most cost-efficient weapons available.

A-Tier — Powerful Weapons With Certain Limitations

A-Tier weapons are still highly competitive and can perform extremely well in the right situations. However, compared with S-Tier options, they come with certain disadvantages.

Some require more expensive attachments, others rely on costly ammunition, and some demand stronger mechanical skills to maximize their potential.

M4A1 (Assault Rifle)

The M4A1 remains one of the most popular assault rifles in Operations, mainly because of its forgiving handling and extensive attachment customization options.

However, its popularity does not necessarily mean it has the highest value. While the M4A1 provides reliable damage and excellent usability, its overall DPS is only average compared with the top-performing weapons.

To unlock its full potential, players usually need to invest heavily into attachments, increasing the total cost of the build.

The M4A1 is still a safe and beginner-friendly option, especially since it becomes available relatively early at Operation Level 13. However, when comparing pure DPS versus investment cost, it falls behind the S-Tier choices.

A dependable weapon — but not the most economical one.

RM277 (Assault Rifle) — New in Season 10

The RM277 introduces impressive stopping power thanks to its heavy-caliber design, making it especially effective against armored enemies.

However, the same characteristics that make it powerful also reduce its overall value in Operations. Its ammunition is expensive and less accessible, while controlling its recoil often requires additional attachment investment.

In an extraction mode where maintaining your economy matters, a weapon with high operating costs becomes harder to justify for every deployment.

The RM277 is an excellent choice when you expect heavily armored opponents, but it is not the most efficient weapon for regular runs.

M7 (Assault Rifle)

The M7 is a high-damage assault rifle that rewards skilled players.

With stronger damage output than many traditional AR options, the M7 has become increasingly popular due to its impressive combat potential. However, its performance depends heavily on player accuracy and recoil control.

Players who can consistently land their shots will benefit greatly from its high damage ceiling, while less experienced users may find it more difficult to maximize.

The M7 is a strong choice for confident players who prioritize damage potential over ease of use.

AS Val (Assault Rifle)

The AS Val remains one of the strongest close-range weapons in Delta Force Operations.

With its integrated suppressor, extremely high fire rate of around 972 RPM, and excellent armor penetration capability, the AS Val can eliminate heavily equipped opponents quickly in confined areas.

It performs exceptionally well in:

Indoor combat

Building clearing

Close-range ambushes

Tight extraction zones

However, Season 10 adjustments reduced its overall effectiveness, including approximately -1 damage and -4 penetration, making it less consistent outside of close-range engagements.

The AS Val is still a powerful and affordable weapon, but it has shifted from an all-purpose choice into a specialized close-range powerhouse.

M250 (LMG)

The M250 remains a strong weapon for controlling lanes and suppressing enemy teams.

Its sustained fire capability allows players to pressure opponents away from objectives and dominate defensive positions.

However, recent recoil changes mean that maintaining effectiveness beyond medium range requires a more specialized recoil-control setup. This increases the overall investment needed to make the weapon perform consistently.

Within Operations’ narrow corridors and defensive positions, the M250 remains valuable — but players should expect to spend more on attachments.

SVCH (Marksman Rifle) — New in Season 10

The SVCH provides Recon players with a new marksman rifle option focused on precision and follow-up shots.

Compared with traditional bolt-action sniper rifles, the SVCH allows faster follow-up pressure, making it more forgiving when multiple shots are required.

It performs best for players who prefer holding positions, controlling angles, and carefully choosing engagements.

However, its effectiveness depends heavily on playstyle and map conditions, making it more of a specialized weapon rather than a universal pick.

AWM (Sniper)

The AWM remains one of the most iconic sniper choices in Delta Force Operations.

Its ability to achieve devastating one-shot chest kills at close range gives it incredible burst potential when used correctly.

The main limitation is map dependency. The AWM performs best in areas with:

1.Long sightlines

2.Open spaces

3.Defensive extraction positions

On suitable maps, it can completely control important angles and punish enemy movement. However, players on tighter maps may find more consistent value from versatile close-to-mid range weapons.

B-Tier — Situational and Budget Options

B-Tier weapons are still usable in Delta Force Operations, but they generally fall short when compared with higher-ranked options in either damage output, flexibility, or overall efficiency.

However, several weapons in this tier provide excellent value for players who are trying to protect their economy. They may not dominate the meta, but they can perform surprisingly well when used with the right setup and playstyle.

CAR-15 (Assault Rifle)

The CAR-15 is a dependable budget assault rifle designed for consistent mid-range performance.

It offers affordable operation costs and reliable handling, making it a practical choice for players who want a low-risk weapon option. However, its overall damage output is relatively average, and it lacks a unique advantage that separates it from stronger assault rifles.

The CAR-15 is a solid choice when you need a cheap and reliable weapon for regular deployments, but it does not provide enough performance benefits to compete with higher-tier rifles.

A useful budget option — but not a weapon that defines the current meta.

MK47 (Assault Rifle)

The MK47 is one of the most interesting high-risk, high-reward assault rifles available in Operations.

On paper, its performance is impressive. It features one of the highest raw damage values among assault rifles, reaching around 44 damage, along with strong penetration capabilities. This gives it excellent burst potential during close-to-mid range fights.

However, the weapon’s biggest weakness is the investment required to unlock its full potential.

Without a complete attachment setup, the MK47 suffers from:

1.Extremely high vertical recoil

2.Slower ADS speed

3.Expensive customization requirements

Building it properly requires a significant amount of Tekniq Alloy, which makes it less attractive in an economy-focused extraction mode.

Experienced players who can control the recoil and afford the investment may push the MK47 toward higher-tier performance. However, for most players, the cost and difficulty of handling prevent it from ranking above B-Tier.

Use it if you are confident with recoil control and have the resources to support the build. Otherwise, more affordable weapons can achieve similar results.

S12K (Shotgun)

The S12K is a powerful budget choice for close-range encounters.

With a hipfire-focused setup, the weapon can maintain strong accuracy without requiring players to aim down sights, allowing for fast reactions in tight environments.

Its high burst damage and low operating cost make it especially effective for:

1.Building clearing

2.Close-quarter ambushes

3.Aggressive extraction pushes

For players who want a cheap weapon that can still dominate at short distances, the S12K is an excellent option.

MP7 / SR-3M Compact (SMGs)

The MP7 and SR-3M Compact are reliable low-cost SMG options for budget Operations runs.

While they do not compete with the strongest SMGs in terms of overall DPS, they provide acceptable close-range performance without requiring a large investment.

For players who want to enter a match with minimal risk, these weapons are practical choices that can still win fights in the right situations.

They may not be meta-defining, but they offer good value for players managing limited resources.

AR57 (Assault Rifle)

The AR57 provides a faster and more responsive alternative to traditional assault rifles like the M4A1.

Although it has not surpassed the strongest weapons in terms of DPS, it offers a different handling experience for players who prefer quicker weapon control and a more agile rifle setup.

It is worth considering for players who want variety while maintaining a reasonable build cost.

A flexible alternative — but still below the strongest assault rifles available.

C-Tier — Avoid for Serious Runs

C-Tier weapons are generally not recommended for serious Operations deployments.

Some of these guns may still be enjoyable in casual matches or offer unique gameplay experiences, but when your equipment and loot are at risk, their disadvantages become much more noticeable.

Compared with stronger meta options, these weapons usually suffer from:

1.Lower DPS

2.Poorer handling

3.Less effective range performance

4.Lower overall reliability

Older SMGs designed for open-map situations also fall into this category. With modern weapons such as the CI-19 offering significantly better time-to-kill performance, many older options struggle to compete in the ranges that matter most.

Investing heavily into these weapons is usually not recommended, as additional attachments often cannot fully compensate for their inherent performance limitations.

Budget Loadout Advice for Extraction

Since Delta Force Operations is built around an economy system, bringing your most expensive loadout into every match is not always the smartest strategy.

Successful players understand that weapon selection should match the risk level of each deployment. A balanced approach helps protect your resources while still giving you enough firepower to survive important fights.

Match Your Kit to Your Risk

The most effective extraction strategy is to adjust your loadout based on the type of mission you are entering.

For example, bringing a fully upgraded CI-19 into a high-risk Classified run can be a smart decision when you expect to encounter heavily geared opponents and want maximum combat potential.

However, for quick farming runs or lower-risk deployments, cheaper options such as the S12K or MP7 can provide enough firepower while reducing potential losses if the operation fails.

The goal is not always to bring the strongest weapon — it is to bring the right weapon for the situation.

Don't Spread Your Upgrades Too Thin

A common mistake among Operations players is investing resources into too many different weapons at once.

Spreading attachment materials and upgrade resources across multiple guns often results in several average builds instead of one or two truly optimized weapons.

A better approach is to focus your investment on high-value weapons first.

Weapons like:

1.CI-19

2.SMG-45

remain effective across many maps and combat situations while maintaining relatively low running costs. This makes them excellent long-term investments and provides better value for your resources.

Quick Loadout Recommendations

• Best overall value: CI-19

High DPS, affordable customization, and reliable performance across most Operations combat ranges.

• Best close-range weapon: SMG-45

Ideal for building clearing, extraction fights, and aggressive close-quarter engagements with a low-cost setup.

• Best budget option: S12K Shotgun

A powerful choice for players who want a cheap but effective weapon for aggressive runs.

• Best against armored enemies: RM277

Excellent armor penetration and stopping power, but players need to consider the higher ammunition cost.

• Best precision option: SVCH or AWM

Recommended for players who prefer holding angles, controlling positions, and taking calculated long-range engagements.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using Your Warfare Loadout in Operations

This is one of the most common mistakes players make.

A weapon setup designed for Warfare mode may perform poorly in Operations because extraction combat happens much more frequently at close and medium distances.

Instead of relying on long-range specialization, prioritize weapons that can win fast encounters and perform consistently in tighter environments.

Spending Too Much on Popular Weapons

Popularity does not always equal efficiency.

Weapons such as the M4A1 and RM277 are popular because they offer strong performance, but that does not automatically make them the best choices for every player.

If a weapon requires expensive attachments or costly ammunition to reach its full potential, compare its total investment against cheaper weapons with similar or better efficiency before committing your resources.

Investing Too Much Into C-Tier Weapons

Avoid spending valuable upgrade materials on low-performing weapons in the hope that attachments will completely fix their weaknesses.

For many C-Tier weapons, the difference in DPS and overall performance is too significant to overcome.

Your resources are better spent improving weapons that already provide strong value.

Bringing Expensive Kits Into Risky Operations Without Planning

Losing a fully upgraded weapon can heavily impact your economy.

Instead of using premium builds every match, adjust your equipment based on the expected reward and risk level.

Save your best setups for situations where the potential rewards justify the possible loss.

Ignoring the Season 10 Meta Changes

Season 10 significantly changed the weapon environment.

The introduction of weapons such as RM277 and SVCH has influenced current weapon choices, while stable mid-range firearms have become increasingly valuable.

At the same time, previous favorites like the M7 and AS Val received adjustments that reduced their consistency, especially outside their strongest combat ranges.

If you are still using a pre-Season 10 setup, it may be time to review your loadout and adapt to the current meta.

Final Thoughts

In Delta Force Operations, the best weapon is not simply the one with the highest damage — it is the weapon that provides the strongest balance between combat performance and operating cost.

For most players, the top choices remain:

CI-19 for reliable all-around performance and excellent efficiency

SMG-45 for close-range dominance at a reasonable cost

Meanwhile, popular but more expensive weapons such as the M4A1 and RM277 are better treated as situational options rather than default choices.

Budget weapons like the S12K and CAR-15 remain useful for lower-risk runs, while focusing upgrades on a small number of high-value weapons will provide the best long-term return.

The Season 10 meta rewards players who understand both firepower and economy management. Build your loadout carefully, balance DPS against cost, and choose equipment that matches your risk level — and your chances of successfully extracting from AZ3 will improve significantly.
