Wondering whether Adelyde: Anabasis is worth building once she drops on September 24? You've come to the right place. Her skills, her mechanics, and the best way to play her are all covered here, so you can draw out every bit of her potential. Read on to see what sets this new S-Rank frame apart on the battlefield.
Adelyde: Anabasis Overview

| Rarity | S-Rank |
| Element | Dark |
| Frame Type | Overlinker |
| Weapon | Cross Cannon |
| Effect | Ultima Slash |
Unique team buffs and powerful support tools come with Adelyde: Anabasis, the first character of the [Overlinker] Class. One [Adelyde: Anabasis] x1 can be claimed free of charge by Commandants via [Journal of Promise], while her 6★ Weapon [Unforsaken Beacon], her exclusive CUB [Kelpie], and additional rewards await in the [Service Shop].
Core Mechanics
Everything in Adelyde: Anabasis's kit revolves around keeping her Echo Value under control. To empower her attacks she spends Echo Value, and the more of it she burns through, the more her abilities ramp up. When the resource runs dry, signal orbs become her answer — they restore Echo Value and stack up buffs ready for her next damage window.
Switching between different combat forms is another option open to her, reshaping her attacks to suit the moment and unlocking stronger skill rotations. Adelyde is the first-ever Overlinker character, which comes with a team-support mechanic nobody else has: teammates who tag in gain extra buffs, and once Matrix is activated, the whole squad is enhanced.
In short, her playstyle comes down to: use resources to boost damage → rebuild resources and stack buffs → switch forms for explosive attacks → empower the whole team.
Key Rank Upgrades
SS3 > SSS > SS > S5
S5:
For Adelaide, S5 is mostly a quality-of-life upgrade. Any available QTEs can now be triggered through her charged third or fourth orb, and through her ultimate as well. The result is a smoother rotation, plus more chances to squeeze QTEs into her burst window.
SS:
SS makes Adelaide considerably more usable in actual combat, though her damage and rotation still aren't fully optimized. Allies on the field during Matrix let her trigger available QTEs, and the damage of her third and fourth orbs increases as well. A useful upgrade, certainly — but her rotation speed and consistency still come with some limitations.
SS3:
SS3 is the breakpoint I'd suggest you aim for above all else. Once you reach it, her charged orb animation speeds up noticeably, her damage and team buffs both climb, and her double-ultimate rotation becomes far more consistent. In practice, this is the threshold where Adelaide starts feeling considerably smoother and much more complete across Dark and Slash teams.
SSS:
The full-investment upgrade comes at SSS. Her rotation, damage ceiling, and team support all climb higher from there. Expect stronger QTE-related buffs, more damage after swapping in, and significantly better performance in her bullet configuration. Players chasing the absolute maximum out of Adelaide will appreciate it — though for most, it isn't necessary.
When resources are running thin, SS3 is the stopping point I'd point to first. Starting her at SS works fine, but SS3 is where a lot of rotation problems get cleaned up, and her damage cycle turns far more consistent. Adelaide comes free, and since extra shards arrive through events plus the various in-game shops, pushing her to SS3 is a target most players can realistically reach.
Weapon
Unforsaken Beacon

Spending pulls on Adelyde's signature weapon isn't necessary — the Service Shop hands it to you for free.
Boosting her damage output further and smoothing out her rotation are the two things her signature weapon is mainly for. It provides:
- Weapon Resonance options
- Increased ATK
- Enhanced damage for her third and fourth orb charged attacks
Recommended Weapon Resonance Priority
- Superconducting Axial Ray
Delivers a more consistent overall damage increase while boosting both Adelyde's personal damage and the team's rotation efficiency. Pick this one first.
- Glorious Spear
Adelyde's damage output climbs even higher, making it a good fit for players chasing maximum personal DPS.
- Incandescent
A secondary pick you can grab later on to push overall damage even further.
For Adelyde, Deadline Timing is not a mandatory resonance. It shouldn't be a priority — unless your Adelyde is under-invested and struggles to complete her double ultimate rotation consistently.
If your resources are tight, the smarter move is to spend them on the weapon resonances that bring the most function and team value before anything else.
CUB
Kelpie

Sniping Swordfish, the CUB made exclusively for Adelyde, doesn't cost anything to acquire. Boosting Adelyde's damage output is its main job, and it also makes her rotation flow more smoothly.
| Passive Effects | Active Skil |
| When Adelyde switches forms through her Blue Orb, she gains 25% ATK increase | Pulls enemies together |
| Enhances the damage of her third and fourth orb charged attacks | Deals Dark damage |
| Performs coordinated attacks during her basic attacks, adding additional damage | / |
Once you're actually fighting, Sniping Swordfish lets Adelyde clear crowds of enemies more comfortably, and it also lifts her burst damage whenever her main damage windows come around.
Recommended CUB Upgrade Priority
- Exclusive Passive Skill
That feeds straight into Adelyde's core gameplay loop, and it delivers the largest single gain to her overall performance.
- Dark / Slash Damage Bonus
Her performance improves in Dark teams and Slash teams alike — the two compositions she's used in most.
- ATK and Active Skill Enhancement
As a last investment step, it raises her overall damage output and gets more value out of her active skill.
All things considered, Sniping Swordfish pairs extremely well with Adelyde. It costs nothing and noticeably upgrades both how she feels to play and how much damage she deals, so building it alongside her comes highly recommended.
Memory Sets
Simon
2pcs Raises ATK by 5%, while Dark DMG and Ultima Slash DMG each increase by 5%.
4pcs Abyssal Tactics and Abyssal Tactics: Chain Assault both gain 50% more Extra DMG. Every stack of Abyssal Beacon now delivers 35% Base DMG, and casting Beacon Light restores 2 Beacon Signal Orbs on each entry.
Other Option-Cottie

2pcs Orb pings generate 20% more Energy, while the Signature Move's Signature Energy cost is cut by 20%.
4pcs Performing a Signature Move raises Extra DMG Bonus by 15% for 10s, and grants Super Armor that boosts Extra DMG Reduction by 20% for 5s after the Signature Move. Every trigger resets both durations.
Team
SSS Dark Team
Bianca: Crepuscule | Adelyde: Anabasis | Rosetta: Arete |
When it comes to Adelyde's Dark teams, this setup ranks among her strongest. Bianca handles the main burst damage, while Adelyde pitches in with Overlinker buffs, additional damage support, and team utility. Rosetta shreds Dark resistance and adds damage of her own, letting the team take full advantage of Adelyde's Dark damage amplification. For players with a highly invested Bianca already, this setup's damage potential is the highest.
Slash Team
Rosetta: Arete | Adelyde: Anabasis | Hanying: Solacetune |
Adelyde's Slash teams have their main setup right here. Hong Ying stacks up Slash and reduces physical defense, which lets the team squeeze the most out of its Slash damage bonuses. Adelyde plays both support unit and damage contributor, providing Overlinker buffs, healing, and extra team amplification. Meanwhile, Rosetta takes the main DPS slot, dealing strong physical damage while reaping the benefits of Adelyde's buffs.
Conclusion
And with that, the Adelaide Anabasis guide comes to a close!
Pair her with the right build, weapon, and CUB, and this free S-rank Overlinker will add serious punch to your Dark and Slash teams. Now all that's left is to level her up, then watch Adelaide do what she does best — tear across the battlefield.
